Fragility and Conflict Technical Research Services

Project Overview

The Fragility and Conflict Technical Research Services (FACTRS) is a three-year task order (2014-2017) that supports strategic research and learning for the Office of Conflict Management and Mitigation (CMM) in USAID’s Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA).

Its primary aim is to help USAID more systematically integrate conflict sensitivity into its strategies, operations and programming.

The first year focused on developing guidance for conflict sensitivity in food assistance programming. The second year will examine how best to promote conflict-sensitive practice through the USAID programming cycle and USAID Mission strategies, especially in fragile and conflict-affected states.
