Josefine Roos joined CDA in 2015 as the Deputy Country Director to Myanmar. Her professional areas of expertise are systemic conflict analysis and conflict sensitive approaches to peace and development work. Josefine has worked in Myanmar since 2012 including with the Myanmar Peace Support Initiative (MPSI) as well as founder and Director of Adapt Research and Consulting.
Before Myanmar, Josefine worked as a consultant on peace, conflict and natural resource issues in Guinea, South Sudan and Colombia. While working for the Swedish Civil Contingency Agency she served as the UN focal point. Josefine is a certified mediator, and holds a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, and an undergraduate degree in International Relations from University of St Andrews.
